Born in Carthage-Tunis along the Mediterranean coast, Adel Chefridi moved to New York in 1998 and began his jewelry journey by teaching himself the craft in a Brooklyn kitchen before studying at the Gemological Institute of America. For over 25 years, he has created fine jewelry that bridges his multicultural heritage with contemporary design, operating from two studios—a flagship gallery in historic Rhinebeck, New York, and a Tunis studio run by his nieces that provides opportunities for local artisans. Adel's designs emphasize simplicity, durability, and openness to light and movement, featuring his signature four-dot compass motif that symbolizes balance and harmony. Using hand-selected natural gemstones and recycled precious metals from ethical suppliers, every piece reflects his commitment to sustainability and transparency. Discover this unique blend of Mediterranean artistry and conscious craftsmanship at Tiny Jewel Box.
