FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WE HAVE ANSWERS

ANSWERS

  • WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We offer refunds within seven days and exchanges within 30 days, when accompanied by a valid receipt. We do not accept returns of special orders, engraved or sized items, or merchandise that's been altered in any way. Corporate merchandise cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • HOW DO I GET AN APPRAISAL FOR MY JEWELRY?

It's important to know the value of your personal jewelry. Tiny Jewel Box only does appraisals on items we sell; however, we would be happy to refer you to a qualified appraiser if needed.
  • HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY JEWELRY?

Cleaning your diamonds, jewelry and gemstones is crucial to maintaining their quality and appearance. For diamond jewelry, use either a mix of ammonia and water or a commercial jewelry cleaner. Dip your diamond jewelry in the cleaning solution and scrub gently from behind with a soft-bristled tooth brush. Rinse the item off in water afterwards. For pearls, simply wipe them off with a soft cloth to remove any perfume or hair spray. Avoid letting your pearls come in contact with other cosmetics as these can cause damage to the pearl's skin or nacre. If a deeper cleaning is needed, simply wash the pearls in mild soap and tepid water. Dry with a soft cloth and let the items sit out and continue to air dry. Tiny Jewel Box can assist you with any care issues you might have or additional services you need such as restringing pearl strands if the individual pearls can move freely between the knots. For gemstone jewelry, it's always best to consult your jeweler. There is a large range of gemstones used in jewelry today, each possessing different characteristics, which can require the need to proceed cautiously.
  • WHAT IS TINY JEWEL BOX DOING ABOUT THE PROBLEM OF CONFLICT DIAMONDS?

Doing what's right in the diamond industry has always been important to us. At Tiny Jewel Box, we only purchase diamonds through suppliers who, like us, adhere to and enforce the standards established by the Kimberley Process, an initiative established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2003 to monitor the buying and selling of diamonds. This process, which tracks diamonds from mine to market, ensures that all of our diamonds are warranted to be conflict-free. Learn more about our social responsibility policies.

  • WHICH “C” IS THE MOST IMPORTANT?

The four C's of buying a diamond are cut, clarity, color and carat—and it takes a combination of all four to determine a diamond's quality. Our diamond experts will walk you through the subtle differences in each category that can dramatically affect how far your budget will go. In the meantime, learn more about each of the four "C's,".
  • WHAT KIND OF CERTIFICATE(S) OR WARRANTIES DO I RECEIVE WITH MY DIAMOND RING?

With your diamond ring purchase, you'll receive an Independent Certification from Not-for-Profit Laboratories, giving you complete peace of mind. You'll also receive a “Diamond Grading Report,” or a "Diamond Dossier," which is a document that contains the characteristics that make up your particular diamond's value, as well as an analysis of the diamond's dimensions, clarity, color, polish and symmetry. The report provides the owner with an independent description of the diamond's essential qualities, which is a crucial part of the purchase. At Tiny Jewel Box, our grading reports are available from two sources: the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and the AGS (American Gem Society Laboratories). These independent, not-for-profit laboratories have no vested interest in the outcome of the diamond grading report. We only sell diamonds that are GIA or AGS certified, so you and your loved one can rest assured that you are getting exactly what you’ve paid for.
