Opened in 1930 during the Great Depression, Tiny Jewel Box began its illustrious history as an antique jewelry store owned by Monte and Roz Rosenheim, in a 100 square foot storefront on G Street. The store has passed through three generations of Rosenheims and is currently owned by Jim Rosenheim and his son, Matthew, who have overseen its rich heritage as Washington's premier jeweler for over 80 years.
Tiny Jewel Box is now located in a historic building on Connecticut Avenue which was once a flagship Elizabeth Arden salon. Built in 1926, the building is on the National Register of Historic Places, and became the home to Tiny Jewel Box in 1992.
Tiny Jewel Box boasts four floors of shopping decadence, each with its own unique identity. The first floor holds stunning engagement and wedding rings from premier designers including Mark Patterson, Jack Kelege, and Michael Bondanza. Also on the first floor are the area's largest collection of vintage and antique jewelry and the latest collections from top designers including Alex Sepkus, Marco Bicego, and Penny Preville.
